Attaching mobile lamps in car trailers
Hello Magnets4you team,
I have a tarpaulin structure on my car trailer made of a galvanized 20 x 20mm square steel frame.
As I often load and unload in the dark, I need interior lighting that uses little power. Nevertheless, it should be powerful. In addition, it should be quick to dismantle and replace.
I have therefore opted for 6 OSRAM DOT-it waterproof LED lights with 3 LEDs each. These are waterproof and actually have a ring magnet built in, which you can’t really call powerful.
Anyway, the lights have fallen off the square frame. What now?
Then I discovered your website and bought disc magnets with a diameter of 20 mm, a thickness of 3 mm and a holding force of 4.1 kg.
For attachment, I also ordered double-sided adhesive dots, also with a diameter of 20 mm.
In the battery compartment of the OSRAM lamp you will find, among other things, a ring for Velcro fastening, which you can also leave in.
I have now simply stuck the disc magnet to the base of the OSRAM lamp with an adhesive dot.
The original magnet, which is still inside, also presses the disc magnet against the housing, as the two magnets attract each other.
This very effectively prevents the strong disc magnet from coming off the housing again despite the adhesive dot.
