Magnetic door holders

Our magnets can be used excellently as magnetic door holders. This ensures that the yard gate remains safely open.

Our customer shows how it’s done:

Hello magnet-shop team,
I have installed pot magnets made of ferrite as door holders and it works excellently!
The rods on the walls were made with a threaded rod and long threaded nut and the threaded ferrite flat grippers were attached with dowels and hanger bolts.
A small suggestion for replication: The size of the doors or gates and the expected wind conditions must be taken into account when selecting the magnet sizes!

How the ferrite pot magnets with thread work:
A magnet made of ferrite is embedded in a steel pot. This metal housing protects the ferrite magnet from damage and increases the adhesive force. In order to achieve optimal adhesive force, the flat gripper must rest directly on the metal surface. A thin iron sheet or a paint finish can reduce the adhesive force very quickly. The adhesive force only works on the open side of the magnet, as the steel pot shields the magnetic effect.

Special feature:
This version has an external thread on the back of the pot magnet. This magnet can be quickly screwed onto housings or devices using a hexagon nut. It’s maximum operating temperature is 200 °C.
Pot magnets, which are otherwise identical in construction but with neodymium, are significantly stronger for the same size.
The holding magnets / assembly magnets / flat grippers / pot magnets are particularly often used in industry, trade fairs and assembly construction. The strong pot magnets have also become indispensable in the advertising / display construction / lighting sector.
