Today we present you a magnet application from our customer: self-crocheted flower fridge magnets made of wool!
Homemade crocheted flower fridge magnets made of wool!
Hello!
I’m crocheting flowers from thick felted wool: 5 chain stitches to form a slip ring.
In the first row, make two single crochet stitches in each chain stitch.
Crochet three or four rounds, depending on the size. Then crochet the petals in a different color.
When the flower is finished, I attach a magnet to the back and crochet around the whole thing again with thin yarn. Done! Very decorative, funny, a lovely gift, and a real eye-catcher!
I initially tried using hot glue to attach the magnets, but it didn’t hold because the wool fibers would tear out, and magnets are very strong, so they’re supposed to hold something!
Crocheting around the magnets dampens the tension a bit, and it easily holds three postcards at once!
You’ll be amazed by the magnetic power of neodymium magnets. Due to the extremely high magnetization of the neodymium-iron-boron compound used, even small discs become powerful magnets. We offer our largest selection of neodymium disc magnets. The spectrum of possible applications for these super magnets is vast. The majority of our neodymium disc magnets have their magnetic poles on the two opposite circular surfaces (axial magnetization).
If you’re looking for weaker and more affordable disc magnets, you’ll find what you’re looking for among our ferrite disc magnets.
