Hook magnet as a petanque ball picker
Hello Magnet Shop Team!
We’re boules players, and this is our magnet application: hook magnet as a petanque ball picker.
When playing boules, you can of course bend down and pick up the balls, or pull them up with a magnet on a string.
These pickers are available from specialist retailers, but they’re too weak. We used the 6 kg magnets for quite a while. Now I’ve installed the 10 kg magnets. These make handling even easier, depending on the surface conditions!
How neodymium pot magnets with steel pot and screwed-in hooks work:
A strong neodymium magnet is embedded in a steel pot. This metal casing protects the neodymium magnet from damage and increases its holding force. To achieve optimal holding force, the flat pot magnet must rest directly on the metal surface. A thin iron sheet or a paint coating can quickly reduce the holding force. The holding force only acts on the exposed side of the magnet. The steel pot shields the magnetic effect.
Special feature:
The hook is located on the back of the magnet plate and is screwed into the existing threaded bushing with an internal thread. The maximum operating temperature is 80°C.
Neodymium eyelet magnets, which you can also find in our range, are often required. If a white paint finish and less holding force are required, choose our white ferrite hook magnets.
Holding magnets, mounting magnets, flat grippers, and pot magnets are particularly popular in industry, trade fair construction, and assembly construction. These powerful pot magnets have also become indispensable in the advertising, display construction, and lighting sectors. Our hook magnets are often used for attaching objects to ceilings.
