Hello dear Magnet-Shop team,
Thanks to your magnets, I’ve built a simple but effective knife rack!

Originally, I just wanted to banish my sharp knives from the drawer, but a knife block was too bulky or just gets in the way. So I came up with the idea of a space-saving magnetic wooden knife rack.

How did I do it? It’s so easy!

This knife magnet block is made from a laminated beechwood board and five magnets.
Pre-drilled with an 11 mm Forstner bit and then enlarged in diameter and depth with a router with a groove cutter (up to about 2 mm wall thickness).

Even the large knife stays securely on the rack! Brilliant!
And now, the finished knife rack? Isn’t it elegant and space-savin?

You’ll be amazed by the magnetic power of neodymium magnets. Due to the extremely high magnetization of the neodymium-iron-boron compound used, even small discs become powerful magnets. We offer our largest selection of neodymium disc magnets here. The spectrum of possible applications for these super magnets is enormous. The majority of our neodymium disc magnets have their magnetic poles on the two opposite circular surfaces (axial magnetization). Some magnetic discs are diametrically magnetized; this can be identified by the separate image in the product image.
