Special magnets you don’t see every day: magnetic snails.
Magnetic snails
I called my project „Magnetic snail.“
I create magnets from empty snail shells, birch polypore mushrooms, or even mussel shells.
Various bonding materials such as silicone, construction adhesive, casting resin, and epoxy, were used to attach the magnets, depending on the size of the objects.
The heating snails are well received and can, of course, also be used on all other metal surfaces.
The following disc magnets were used:
Magnets depending on the size and weight of the snails, mussels, and birch polypore mushrooms used.
- 10x Disc magnets Ø 10.0 x 5.0 mm N40 Nickel – holds 3 kg
- 5x Disc magnets Ø 15.0 x 5.0 mm N40 Nickel – holds 4.8 kg
- 5x Disc magnets Ø 15.0 x 8.0 mm N45 Copper – holds 7.2 kg
- 5x Disc magnets Ø 15.0 x 3.0 mm N45 Nickel – holds 2.9 kg
- 10x Disc magnets Ø 8.0 x 8.0 mm N42 Copper – holds 2.5 kg
- 10x Disc magnets Ø 8.0 x 5.0 mm N45 Nickel – holds 2.5 kg
Fast-curing 2-component adhesive can be used on numerous materials such as metal, plastic, fiber composite material, ceramic, glass, stone or wood.
It gives a transparent, residual elastic connection.
The practical twin syringe automatically ensures the correct mixing ratio (1:1).

Epoxy superglue – fast, transparent and residual elasticity, ideal for occasional repair and maintenance work in construction and assembly.
The adhesive is viscous and self-leveling, has a very short pot life (3 – 4 minutes), hardens quickly and is almost colorless, crystal clear.
The processing takes place from the practical double syringe.
