With the help of pot magnets and hooks, our customer built himself an useful addition for a bbq fire disc.
Since he was missing a hook holder or a shelf for the grilled food during the bbq. In addition, it bothered him that the existing tools have an attachment to the disc that is in his way when barbequing.
Useful addition for a bbq fire disc
Attach an Useful addition for a bbq fire disc with strong and HEAT-resistant magnets underneath the fire disc attachments:
Our customer used the following materials for magnetic hooks and cutting boards
- 3 Ferrite Pot magnet Ø 32.0 x 7.0 mm, internal thread M4, 8.1 kg
- 3 M4 hooks
- 4 identical hardwood boards
- Screws and brackets to assemble
- 2 Ferrite pot magnet Ø 57.0 x 12.0 mm, internal thread M6, 28 kg
The customer built the useful addition to a fire disc as follows:
He first installed the ferrite pot magnets with 32 Ø as hook holders, into which he screwed suitable M4 hooks.
Attention: Neodymium magnets are not suitable for this application! Please use ferrite magnets!
The max. operating temperature of neodymium magnets is too low; the magnets would lose their magnetic properties due to the heat of the disc. Ferrite magnets withstand the temperature of the fire disc.
Then he mounted them underneath of the fire disc.
For the construction of the cutting board, hardwood boards were cut to lengths of 2 cm x 50 cm and 2 cm x 30 cm.
The cutting board was assembled with screws and angles. The customer attached the ferrite pot magnts with a diameter of 57 to one side of the cutting board.
On the other side, one of the strips was attached as a finishing strip (prevents the cutting board from slipping out).
ON THIS SUB-CONSTRUCTION, BOARDS OF SIZE 40 CM X 30 CM, 40 CM X 40 CM OR ALSO 40 CM X 50 CM CAN NOW BE PLACED ON
With this self-made addition, everything can simply be attached with the help of the magnets and removed again after use. No tools necessary!
