Rescuing a cow’s foot from a cistern

Today we are going to introduce you to an extraordinary but very effective way on how rescuing a cow’s foot from a cistern has taken place.

While he was working on a rainwater cistern in his garden, our customer’s cow foot fell in it and he saved it magnetically.

In our garden there is a rainwater cistern hidden under a conifer.
I lifted the manhole cover with a “cow foot” and a short time later the cow foot accidentally “fell into the well”.
The cistern is full of water, what could I do?

I ordered a cube magnet 15.0 x 15.0 x 15.0 mm N44 nickel – holds 17 kg. I attached it to an iron lid.
The iron lid was tied to a rope. I let this down and it took about 2 minutes until it clicked and the cow’s foot was attached to the magnet.
So I could safely recover the cow’s foot with little effort. Not only was it successful, it was really fun.
